SAVE BAHAMAS – Hurricane Dorian Relief
Hurricane Dorian hit the Bahamas in September 2019 as a category 5 storm with winds of over 157 mph, leaving the area obliterated and thousands of people injured and rendered homeless. 4 IMANA disaster relief teams assisted the Bahamas health authorities in providing healthcare to local population, by supplementing their limited capacity at hospitals and clinics.
After the hurricane, the residents were in urgent need for food, shelter, and water. IMANA donated $20,000 towards humanitarian aid and through our ground partners, Penny Appeal USA, we provided these critical goods to the hurricane victims.
